Cancer and Whimsy
We like to keep it light here at SnackReads. Sure, life gets serious sometimes, and what’s the best way to deal with it? Whimsy! Even something as heavy as cancer, it turns out, can be attacked with whimsy. If you have not already heard about the fundraiser, Sequence a Science Fiction Writer, you should check it out. Proceeds benefit writer Jay Lake, who has been struggling with cancer for several years. His fellow writers have pledged to perform certain public acts of whimsy as fundraising goals are met. Many of the goals have been met, and the writers have delivered. You can find their antics on the Internet, but if you enjoy the whimsy, lend a hand, OK.
